An amazing singer and dulcimer player, accompanied by a great band, she
combines folklore with jazz and alternative music.
Zuzana is a phenomenon and, in addition to playing the dulcimer and
singing, she is also a screenwriter, composer, music arranger, and
actress (film Osmdesát dopisů 2010, Berlinale 2011).
Her biography as a composer is quite extensive, her album “Maria Panna
prěčístá” was nominated for the Anděl award. V is Supraphon’s
best-selling Christmas album ever.
In 2013, she composed music for the dance drama Ballads with live music
and singing by Zuzana Lapčíková. The work was presented by the ballet
ensemble of the Moravian-Silesian National Theater in the premiere on
September 19, 2013.
In 2014, she recorded Orbis Pictus, a symphonic piece for the orchestra
and the Prague Philharmonic Choir.
She has performed in many places in the Czech Republic, e.g. at the
Prague Spring, at festivals around Europe, but also in the USA, in New
York and in Washington at the Kennedy Center.
In 2024, her ballet Želary premiered at the Olomouc Theater.
